The British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Marketing Association is the largest student-run club on campus. Our objective is to bring all aspects of marketing to encourage the use of your creativity and innovation to our community.

How do I join a Committee?

If you’re interested in joining a committee or would like to learn more, email the VP of your committee of choice here. In addition, we will reach out to you after you complete your membership form.

What positions are there in the BCITMA?

While we have our VP’s, every committee can have First-Year and Second-Year Directors, meaning they will take on more of a leadership role in the committee and train to potentially become the following year’s VP.


Can I join more than one committee?

Yes! You can get in touch with the VPs of any committee and request to join and help out, whether as a General Member or a Director position.

What is a First-Year Liasion?

As a First Year Liaison, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the BCITMA experience for all first-year students. Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Communication: Be the bridge between BCITMA and fellow first-year students. Keep them informed about upcoming events, workshops, and opportunities to grow.

  • Internal Operations: Learn the ins and outs of how a student-led organization operates. Contribute to our meetings and decision-making processes.

  • Event Planning: Work closely with our team to plan a spectacular event exclusively for first-year students. Put your creativity and organizational skills to the test!

Why do I have to pay membership dues?

Joining the BCITMA requires a $60.00 membership fee, of which half goes to the BCIT Marketing Association, and the other half goes to the American Marketing Association. These membership dues are vital to fund the events and opportunities the BCITMA strives to give students. In other words, for the price of 10 coffees, you will get to have experiences that you can put on a resume for a lifetime.

In the spirit of transparency, last year’s budget is included at the bottom of the annual report so you can see where every dollar of the BCITMA goes.
